May I start off with wishing you all a Happy New Year.
The club has had members out competing in December and between Christmas and the New Year.
We had some crews enter the ever popular One And Only Preston Rally 13/14 December, with Mathew Smalley navigating for Ethan Davis finishing 1st overall, great result as this was Mathews second win on the event. Mark Banham with David Smalley navigating in 8th place, Rob Palmer with Jonathan Stimpson navigating in 10th place, Harry Wade with Danni Quadling navigating in 13th place well done to all who took part in this car braking rally,
David and June Pollard marshalled on the event.
This was followed by the Rixy Stages on 29th December, a chance to get out and have a bit of fun over the Christmas break, David Smalley was out again this time navigating for Aaron Rix in his 1400 Escort coming home 20th O/A and 1st in class a very spirited drive by Aaron! Also out was members Alistar Wait with Kevin Maciver navigating finishing 13th O/A and 7th in class 3.
We also had quite a few members out on marshalling duties, our thanks go out to them for their support. It was unfortunate that several incidents, thankfully non serious, held up proceedings and cost time leading to two stages being cancelled.
An unfortunate result of running a tight event with rescue crews having to travel through stages to get to the incidents, apart from this there has been a lot of good feedback back, and we look forward to it being run again at the end of this year.
Please can any members that have been competing on events send in their results and a report of the event they took part in to the championship secretary to have their points added to the appropriate championship email to: daveandjunepollard@sky.com also to chairman@kingslynndmc.co.uk so it can be added to Full Chat, plus any photos if possible.
Unfortunately, we were unable to have a 12 car rally this month as no members came forward to organise it.
