We started this month with several cars going to “Cars at the Mill” at Bearts Stowbridge, this year must have been the busiest yet as it’s getting very popular.
Following on from that was our stand at RAF Marham friends and family day, a good selection of cars was on the stand.
Our last Gymkhana of the summer was held at Greg’s field at Terrington, was won by John Peterson which makes him Club off Road champion for this year.
A few members have been out on various events, with Rob Kitchen at Bonneville Salt Flats USA servicing a car there, John Stimpson was out on the Woodbridge Auto Solo finishing with 7 FTC’s and class win.
Freddy Hewitt competed in the Mini Clubsport Challenge with some good results makes him 10th in the Championship.
Tony Hewitt competed on the Jorden Road Surfacing Stages at Fulbeck navigating for Ross Daniel’s finishing 8th O/A and 5th in class a great result well done.
But on a sad note John Hickling passed away a few days after the event, John was CofC for the rally and had been on the rally scene for many years, and know by so many people. The club sends its sympathies to his wife and family.
Our Classic Run Out was on 9th August a nice ride out from Steve Cato’s at Tottenhill and finishing at The Warehouse at Setchey, with a few miles in between, well done Adrian on a well organised evening.
We had club stands at Snettisham Fete and Pentney Lakes Car Show with a variety of cars there thanks to members who brought theirs along.
